"My dream is to help out the communities back in Africa with my engineering skills", says Moses Githinji.
Meet Moses Githinji a mechanical engineer originally from Kenya who won the DAAD Award last year in Germany because of his excellent performance and social engagement at RheinMain University of Applied Sciences in Germany.
Moses has created an academic home for international students by helping them through a self learning group (Lernen bis zum Umfallen) and by organising intercultural events within the university.
Moses came to Germany through the Voluntary Programme (FSJ) where he was able to identify studying opportunity in Germany. After successfully finishing the Studienkolleg in Kassel, he joined RheinMain University of Applied Sciences and is currently pursuing his Masters in Energietechnik und Produktionstechnik/Planung (energy and production).
To further pursue his dream of empowering communities back in Africa, Moses has initiated an organisation *Tabasamu Lako* meaning share a smile, with the aim of establishing a research and development centre in Kenya. More details about the organisation to follow.
