DAAD - German Academic Exchange Service

The DAAD founded in 1925 is the largest funding organisation for German and international students and researchers. The organisation also offers scholarship opportunities for short courses and for a semester abroad. Here you will find information about the current DAAD scholarships and from other organisations.  Katholischer Akademischer Ausländer-Dienst (KAAD)

KAAD is a scholarship organisation founded by the Catholic Church in Germany. The organisation offers scholarships for master and PhD programmes in Germany and in developing countries. The organisation has two types of scholarships:

Scholarship Program 1: is addressed to post-graduates and to academics living in their home countries who already gained professional experience and who are interested in postgraduate studies (or research stays) in Germany. This program is administered by regional partner committees, staffed by university professors and church representatives.  Heinrich Böll Scholarships for International Students

The scholarship department of the Heinrich Böll Foundation grants scholarships to graduates, and doctoral students from inside and outside Germany. The application process is twice per year. The application deadline is 1 March and 1 September. Only online applications are accepted. Applicants are required to possess German language with a minimum requirement of B2 or DSH/TestDaF level. The application portal will be opened about 6 weeks before the application deadline. The Scholarship of Evangelisches Studienwerk

Evangelisches Studienwerk Villigst is a Christian organisation based in Germany offering scholarships to students studying in Germany. The organisation supports students from all disciplines and specialist subjects.

Scholarships for Students: The application deadline for acceptance for the winter semester is 1st March (midnight). The application deadline for acceptance for the summer semester is 1st September (midnight). See link for more details: >>Scholarships for Students

Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES)

The Friedrich-Ebert Foundation is a foundation associated with the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD). The Foundation offers scholarships at all academic levels and and upto 40 students from Africa, Asia, Latin America and Eastern Europe may qualify for the scholarship.  >>FES Scholarship Programme

Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung(KAS) Scholarships

 Every year the Konrad-Adenauer Foundation awards scholarships to committed students and doctoral candidates who have successfully completed a higher-education programme in their country of origin, are pursuing post-graduate studies (post-graduate courses/Master's programme) or a doctorate or who are doing at least a two-semester research project at a higher-education institution in Germany. Schotstek Scholarships in Hamburg

Merit Scholarships Universität Hamburg

With its merit scholarship program, Universität Hamburg supports outstanding international students and doctoral researchers of all subjects and degree levels who are actively involved in a social or intercultural context.
