Jacobs University in Germany is offering Full Tuition Diversity Scholarships to international graduate and undergraduate students who apply for the studies commencing in 2019. Deadline is tomorrow, 1 May 2019.

Every year, students from all corners of the world come to Jacobs University to study, engage with each other’s ideas and learn inside and outside the classroom. To celebrate this cornerstone in our university’s bedrock, this year we will reward five students from five different continents with our Full Tuition DIVERSITY Scholarship*.


How to apply for the scholarship*

1. You'll automatically be considered for the scholarship if you submit your admissions application by May 1, 2019. Students who have already been admitted for the Fall 2019 intake will automatically be considered for the scholarship.

2. Receive feedback by May 15, 2019 & prepare a short video.

3. Receive the final decision by May 24, 2019.

The scholarship will be awarded to the students that demonstrate exceptional academic achievement, intellectual creativity and are motivated to make a difference in the world.

Undergraduate Students

If you have no high school diploma yet, you can submit it later!

Applications need to include the following documents:One recommendation letter from a school official (school counselor or principal)School transcripts of the last 2-3 years

  • Educational history form
  • Language proficiency test(s) (TOEFL, IELTS, CAE etc.)
  • Results of your standardized test(s) SAT/ACT/TestAS
    • The College Board's Scholastic Assessment Test (SAT) or the ACT Assessment test are not required for students who graduate from high school with the German Abitur.
  • ZeeMee Electronic Resume (optional)

Graduate Students

⇓ Application Requirements:

Applications for MSc Data Engineering and MSc Supply Chain Management need to include the following documents:

  • Letter of Motivation
  • Curriculum vitae (CV)
  • University transcript in English or German
  • Bachelor’s degree certificate or equivalent (may be handed in later)
  • Two letters of recommendation
  • English language proficiency test with a minimum score of 90 (TOEFL), 6.5 (IELTS) or 60 (Duolingo). Native speakers and applicants who completed their undergraduate studies in English may be exempt from this requirement.

Applications for MSc Psychologie need to include the following documents:

  • Letter of Motivation
  • Curriculum vitae (CV)
  • University transcript in English or German
  • Bachelor’s degree certificate or equivalent
  • Non-native German speakers applying for the MSc Psychologie need to provide a German language proficiency test (Goethe-Zertifikat level C1, TestDaF level 4 or DSH level 2.
  • English language proficiency test with a minimum score of 72 (TOEFL), 5.5 (IELTS) or 40 (Duolingo). Alternatively, students may submit a confirmation from their previous university that their undergraduate studies were conducted in English.

*The Full Tuition DIVERSITY Scholarship covers the tuition fee for 3 years (Bachelor) and 2 years (Master). It does not cover the costs for room and board (currently 6,000 Euro per academic year) and the general university fee (currently 650,00 Euro per academic year).
