MOTIVATION LETTER FOR MASTER IN INTERNATIONAL FINANCE AND ECONOMICS (MSC)
Dear sir/madam,
I graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Daystar University in Kenya in 2019, and with this letter I apply for the Master in International Finance and Economics (MSC) in Germany because I believe that no nation was ever ruined by trade. With the best trade and investment policies and which promotes the creation and management of money, the government can save funds and grow the financial wellbeing of its citizens. The field of economics and finance is important as it takes care of the nation. The course focuses on creation and management of money and different ways in which goods and services are created, distributed and sold. I am interested in building my experience and enrich my creativity to help people and institutions with unlimited resources in improving their finances.
In Kenya, I studied Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting for 4 years. The program covered courses in financial accounting, cost accounting, managerial accounting, taxation, auditing, statistics, business finance, organization and management, business law, computerized accounting, principles of economics and business research methods. I find it suitable for myself because I am interested in developing the expert analytical, advisory and management skills needed for a career in financial analysis. I would like to enhance my experience in the field and pursue a career that puts me in a position to be innovative and helpful to people with limited knowledge and resources to improve their financial wellbeing.
During my final year of study, as the course description, I undertook an attachment at the National Health Insurance Fund (NHIF) as part of my training. Furthermore, I did an internship right before my graduation at the Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB). I was interested in finance, business analysis and banking as well as taking on internal trainings on banking. I am an industrious person who is willing to take on leadership roles in the society, and with great ambition to study and gain knowledge at all times. I am a very social, open and friendly person. I enjoy meeting new people, interacting with and being around people form diverse backgrounds. I find that to be the best and most effective way of learning.
Currently, I am doing German language course, A1 and working a s a voluntary auditor and business consultant, I am doing it with great passion. I have identified and given well researched and informed advice on finance related issues.
I would be delighted to study in Germany and specifically at Nuremberg Tech because it is home to the best university and it provides diversity in culture, race and ethnicity so that we can learn from one another. Despite the school being in Germany, it offers courses in English and is evidenced by a huge population being international students. I am convinced that a Master in International Finance and Economics in Germany will provide me with the knowledge and skills that I will need in my future career. I purpose to graduate with a master degree and pursue a doctoral degree in the future. I will do my best to succeed in the course if given the opportunity.
Thank you for your consideration. I am looking forward to a positive feedback.
Yours faithfully,
Janet Jones.

MOTIVATION LETTER FOR A MASTERS DEGREE IN INTERNATIONAL MANAGEMENT AT THE HOCHSCHULE NIEDERREIN
Dear Sir/Madam,
I write this letter in support of my application to your prestigious Master’s Degree in MM International Management at the Hochschule Niederrhein.
I chose to study in Germany due to the fact that the Hochschule Niederrhein is located in the fourth largest economy in the world. The education system in Germany is of high quality that produced renown scholars like Albert Einstein. It has remained a home to many innovations “Made in Germany” not forgetting it was among the first countries to invest the Covid 19 vaccination. The country also has a very strong focus on investing in education and research making DAAD the world’s largest funding organisation. The teaching approach offers a combination of both practical and theory preparing graduates ready to fit into the working environment.
I am a young entrepreneur who gained deep interest in combining IT and business during my final year at the university at the time I was pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Security and Forensics at Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science and Technology in Kenya. After high school, I desired to choose a career so solve problems related to IT security. During my fourth year I developed great interest in turning the acquired technical skills into business targeting university students. At the university, many students faced the challenge of running errands within the university and the city. Together with a friend, we decided to venture into a business of renting bicycles to students to facilitate the mobility. We pitched the idea to family and friends for the seed capital and we successfully started the business. We started with 4 bicycles and increased them to 30 bicycles. This is when I started to gain deeper interest to further acquire more skills in executing business ideas especially in converting technology solutions into business.
After running the business for three years and learning different aspects of business, I decided to venture into new business segment and this is when we further cofounded a technology company, LMS Technologies Limited, a one-stop shop for eateries and caterers. My co-founder who is passionate about software development took the technical role while I, being passionate about implementing the ideas into business took the business operation and execution role. Our first product was a platform called FairMeal that advertised food offers for restaurants in Nairobi. Upon marketing this product for a year and getting feedback from the restaurants, we refined our business idea to channel more sales and to solve the problem many restaurants faced due to cyber security. We then launched the second product called Wuoth, an App offering more services offered by restaurants. The platform currently advertises events, fun activities, restaurants’ ambience, menus and food offers, tours and safaris in Nairobi, the capital city of Kenya. Due to the fact that food and hospitality industry are also very vulnerable to cyber security threats especially due to the fact that customers can order for their foods online using mobile money solutions, we extend our services on Wuoth where we focus on educating the stakeholders on how to implement safe solutions within the platforms.
Having co-founded the two businesses has given me such exposure in executing and refining business models. This is when I gained deep interest in further pursing a career in business to combine it with the IT skills I acquired during my studies. I strongly believe the combination of quality education, technology and entrepreneurship is the ultimate equalizer going forward when it comes to offering sustainable business solutions to enable companies scale better especially in developing countries.
The Hochschule Niederrhein is my choice of college for my higher training being one of the largest and top-performing universities for applied sciences in Germany. Several more reasons why I chose the university is the close interactions between professors and students, strong connection to the industry and a strong international focus with students spending at least a semester or internship abroad. I strongly believe that the master course International Management will enable me understand business management structures needed to help companies cope with rapid market changes, fast technology trends, open markets and the climate change effects. The course will also offer me further knowledge in understanding the management structures within companies and business cultures and ethics needed. Lastly I also believe that the master course will give me a lot of knowledge and insights especially to assist most start-ups that fail due to lack of solid business structures and exposure. This is an area that is of great interest to me specially to support upcoming start-ups in emerging economies back home in Africa as they scale to meet local and international demands.
In conclusion, I hope that studying at the Hochschule Niederrein is going to serve as the ultimate base to the journey I am taking to achieve my dreams towards a successful career
I look forward to joining your institution. Thank you for your time and consideration.
Yours Sincerely,
Maxwell Oduma

Motivation Letter for National Visa Application
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing this motivation letter as a part of my application for a national visa to study “Bachelor of International Management” at Deggendorf Institute of Technology
First of all, Germany steps forward as a world leader in many respects. It is the world's 4th best country overall, the largest economy in Europe by nominal GDP, and the 5th by purchasing power parity globally. While also simultaneously the world's 3rd largest exporter and importer of goods. Germany is a global leader in advocating for the use of green energy and listed as the most energy-efficient major economy by the American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy, according to the human development index. Germany is an active member of the major international organizations, including the United Nations, the European Union, the G-20, NATO, and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development.
I preferred to study in Germany rather than another country due to several reasons. Most of all, Germany has been listed as the world's 4th safest country for international students based on surveys conducted by the student room website. The educational system is of high quality that produced world-class scholars like Albert Einstein: the theoretical physicist, and Konrad Zuse: the inventor of the 1st digital and programmable computers. The teaching approach combines theory with practice producing graduates who are well-prepared for the work environment. The fact that many German institutions of higher learning charge little to no tuition fee by international comparison apprised me of the importance Germany holds in education. Moreover, the Government has heavily invested in education and research, thus making the DAAD the world's largest funding organization. With more than 100 million native speakers, German is the most widely spoken first language in Europe, and hence the German language is becoming increasingly important in the global market.
I chose to study at the Deggendorf Institute of technology due to many reasons. Firstly, the university has a startup campus with the motto "Awaken the founder in you" which supports innovation among students and supports new business ideas which aim to tackle global challenges while at the same time promoting self-employment. According to Worlds Universities with Real Impact ranking 2021, Deggendorf institute of technology ranked top worldwide in the category "Entrepreneurial Spirit”: The university has a strong international focus and has most of its students spend at least one semester of study or internship abroad. The university also focuses degree programs on both practical application and its relevance to the real world. Students are given numerous opportunities to develop interpersonal skills that are good for the business world. The university maintains numerous collaborative contacts with industries such that its students have little difficulty in finding eager partners for their projects, internships, or bachelor’s theses thus providing valuable work experience and professional qualification before graduation. As a young dynamic institution, the university strives for meaningful transfer of knowledge experience in both teaching and research. Deggendorf institute of technology international students, take approximately 34% of the total population making intercultural exchange very rich on campus. This will allow me to earn a quality education with the high expectation of a student in Germany. The professors and lecturers are accomplished and approachable researchers who enjoy working closely with students to help them reach their full potential.
My interest in “international management” evolved after 2019, when I was an accountant for an investment enterprise, and it is later in 2020 as a finance officer for Exa Innovation Studio that I recognized the crucial role of “management” in the modern pioneer businesses and developing innovative business solutions with global implications. I decided to do my research and finally decided to apply for the international management program at the Deggendorf institute of technology. It is highly ranked as compared to other programs at other universities, with a modular structure allowing students the freedom to choose from a range of modules and topics, according to their academic progress and focus area. Well-designed to be highly interdisciplinary and provide profound technical expertise with fine-tuned soft skills, making it suitable for students who intend to work for international companies in functions or projects which require an adequate international management background with a thorough understanding of management practices and at the same time enabling me to gain a strong background in practical business studies as well as an understanding of socio-political issues that concern multinational corporations. In cooperation with its partner universities around the world, upon additional enrollment, the students of Deggendorf institute of technology can opt to study two semesters abroad, and earn a double degree.
In conclusion, I hope that study at Deggendorf institute of technology is going to serve as the ultimate base to the journey I am taking to achieve my dreams towards a successful career. As far as long-term plans, I hope to launch a startup company in my home country, Kenya, in the field of management and consulting and be a part of the initiatives taken to realize the “Kenya vision 2030” aiming to create a globally competitive and prosperous country with a high quality of life by 2030”. Finally, I would like to express my gratitude for the future consideration of my application.
Sincerely Yours,
Kavin omwebu osoro
